By downloading, installing, or using the RateThatBeach application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
RateThatBeach is a mobile application that allows users to discover beaches on a map and submit anonymous star ratings (1–5). The App aggregates ratings to display average scores and rankings.
The App uses anonymous Firebase authentication. You are automatically assigned an anonymous user ID when you first launch the App. No registration is required. Your identity remains anonymous.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not:
Ratings you submit are stored anonymously and may be displayed publicly. By submitting a rating, you grant RateThatBeach a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that rating.
Beach location and photo data is sourced from the Google Places API. Map display is powered by Google Maps. We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party data.
If you purchase a premium subscription, payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. Beach ratings reflect the opinions of anonymous users and do not constitute professional advice regarding beach safety or suitability.
RateThatBeach shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or special damages arising from your use of the App.
