Terms of Use

Effective date: August 25, 2026

1. Acceptance of the Terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of the BMS Monitor: LiFePO4 mobile application.

The application is provided by Mateusz Młynarski, referred to in these Terms as the Developer, we, us, or our.

By installing, accessing, or using the application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.

If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the application.

2. Purpose of the Application

BMS Monitor: LiFePO4 is designed to monitor and configure supported battery management systems using Bluetooth.

Depending on the connected device and its protocol version, the application may display battery measurements, cell information, temperature, charging and discharging information, alarms, device information, historical measurements, and selected configuration settings.

Some features may not be available on every battery management system model or software version.

3. Independent Application

BMS Monitor: LiFePO4 is an independent application.

The application is not developed, approved, sponsored, endorsed, or supported by the manufacturer of JK battery management systems or by any other battery management system manufacturer.

All company names, product names, trademarks, and registered trademarks belong to their respective owners. References to compatible products are used only to describe interoperability.

4. Hardware and Compatibility Requirements

The application requires a compatible mobile device, Bluetooth access, and a supported battery management system.

Bluetooth availability, communication quality, available measurements, settings, and command behavior may depend on:

The Developer does not guarantee compatibility with every device marketed under the same product or model name.

5. Safety Warning

Lithium batteries and electrical installations can present serious risks, including electric shock, fire, burns, equipment damage, property damage, personal injury, and death.

The application is an informational and configuration tool. It is not a replacement for:

You must follow all manufacturer instructions and applicable electrical safety requirements.

6. Responsibility for Settings

The application may allow you to change selected battery management system settings.

Incorrect settings may disable charging or discharging, reduce battery life, damage battery cells, damage the battery management system, damage connected equipment, create an unsafe condition, or cause fire or personal injury.

Before changing any setting, you are responsible for confirming that the value is appropriate for:

Do not change a setting unless you understand its purpose and consequences.

The application safety code is only a confirmation intended to reduce accidental access to configuration controls. It is not a security password and does not prevent an informed user from accessing the settings interface.

7. Low Temperature Charging Protection

If the connected battery management system supports low temperature charging protection, the application may allow you to configure the protection threshold and recovery temperature.

Software configuration does not guarantee that charging will always stop under unsafe conditions.

You remain responsible for verifying that temperature sensors are installed correctly, readings are accurate, the battery management system supports the relevant protection, and the charger or other hardware provides suitable independent protection.

8. Accuracy of Information

Battery readings are received from the connected battery management system.

The Developer does not independently measure or verify voltage, current, temperature, state of charge, remaining capacity, battery health, cycle count, or alarm conditions.

Values may be delayed, incomplete, incorrectly calibrated, unavailable, or interpreted differently by different hardware or software versions.

Estimated operating time is calculated from available battery information and recent consumption. It is only an estimate. Actual operating time may change significantly when load, temperature, battery condition, calibration, or battery capacity changes.

Do not rely on the application as the only method of detecting a dangerous battery condition.

9. Bluetooth Communication

Bluetooth communication can be interrupted or delayed.

A displayed connection state does not guarantee that every command has been received or applied by the battery management system.

After changing a setting, verify the value by reading it again and, when appropriate, confirm it using the official manufacturer software or suitable measurement equipment.

Do not turn off the battery management system, Bluetooth, or the mobile device during a settings write operation.

10. Settings Backups

The application may allow you to save, export, import, or load a settings backup.

A loaded backup is not proof that the values are correct for the currently connected battery.

Before applying any value from a backup, verify the battery chemistry, cell count, battery capacity, protocol version, battery management system model, hardware version, and software version.

You are responsible for keeping backup files secure and for ensuring that the correct file is used.

The Developer does not guarantee that every backup can be restored or that a backup created using one device or version will be compatible with another.

11. Advertising

The application may display banner advertisements supplied through Google AdMob on iOS and Android.

Advertisements are selected, delivered, measured, and secured by third party advertising providers, including Google, through Google Mobile Ads SDK. Advertising availability and personalization may vary by country, consent choice, internet connection, platform settings, Google policies, and available advertising inventory.

The Developer does not select or control every advertisement and does not endorse any advertised product, service, statement, or organization.

The Developer is not responsible for purchases, claims, representations, content, availability, privacy practices, terms, or external websites related to an advertisement. Any interaction or transaction with an advertiser is between you and the advertiser or relevant third party.

You should report an advertisement that appears inappropriate, misleading, unsafe, or unlawful using the contact address provided in the application or by emailing mlynarski.mateusz@gmail.com.

Failure to request, load, display, or interact with an advertisement must not prevent or disable the core Bluetooth monitoring or supported BMS configuration features of the application.

12. Third Party Services

The application uses Google AdMob and Google Mobile Ads SDK to request and display advertisements. It also uses Google User Messaging Platform to request and store advertising privacy choices where legally required.

These third party services may process advertising related information according to their own terms, privacy policies, consent signals, platform settings, and legal obligations. This may include IP address, device and advertising identifiers when available, device and operating system information, application and advertising interactions, diagnostic information, consent choices, and approximate location inferred from an IP address.

Battery measurements, BMS settings, cell voltages, Bluetooth device data, local history, and exported settings backups are not intentionally supplied to Google AdMob or used by the Developer for advertising.

Use of advertising services is governed by the BMS Monitor: LiFePO4 Privacy Policy and applicable Google policies.

13. Permitted Use

You may use the application for lawful personal or commercial battery monitoring and configuration.

You must not:

14. Critical Applications

The application is not designed or certified for use in medical equipment, emergency systems, aviation, nuclear systems, life support systems, safety critical industrial systems, or any environment where failure could directly cause death, personal injury, or severe environmental or property damage.

Use in such systems is prohibited unless separately approved in writing by the Developer and supported by appropriate independent safety systems.

15. Application Availability

The Developer may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the application.

Updates may change compatibility, supported measurements, supported settings, interface behavior, or minimum operating system requirements.

The Developer does not guarantee that the application will always be available, error free, or compatible with future mobile operating systems or battery management system updates.

16. Intellectual Property

The application, its original interface, software, text, graphics, and other original content are owned by or licensed to the Developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non exclusive, and non transferable right to use the application in accordance with these Terms.

Any open source components included in the application remain subject to their respective licenses.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the application is provided on an as is and as available basis.

The Developer makes no warranty that:

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from the use of or inability to use the application.

This includes loss or damage relating to batteries, battery cells, chargers, inverters, vehicles, boats, buildings, electrical installations, connected equipment, data, revenue, business interruption, property damage, or personal injury caused by incorrect installation, unsupported hardware, inaccurate readings, interrupted Bluetooth communication, incorrect settings, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions.

Sections concerning safety, responsibility, intellectual property, warranty, liability, and governing law remain applicable after termination where legally permitted.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the laws of the country in which you normally reside.

Any dispute should first be submitted to the Developer using the contact information below so that the parties can attempt to resolve it informally.

The competent courts will be determined in accordance with applicable law.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

The invalid provision will be interpreted or replaced to the minimum extent necessary to make it lawful while preserving its intended purpose where possible.

24. Changes to These Terms

The Developer may update these Terms to reflect changes to the application, legal requirements, supported devices, or safety practices.
